Before the Shop
When I was little I was surrounded by my aunt's sewing, since she is a seamstress with years of experience. My family noticed my interest in fabrics and gifted me a small sewing toy machine. When I was deciding what course to take in high school, my school had a course in sewing, since I had an interest in sewing previously I figured I should try it out. During my time learning in this course I was able to develop a passion & love for sewing, so much that it helped me be more confident in myself and my crafts. Upon showing my interest and dedication to sewing, my family gifted me an actual sewing machine, in which I would use not just to practice my skills at home as well but also to be creative and create at home.
After graduating high school & starting college I slowly drifted away from sewing feeling like it wasn't something for me some sort of imposter syndrome. I began studying Business Administration & Entrepreneurship to work on a simple office job but I was hopeful that I would use the knowledge to open up a shop when I had the courage to. It wasn't until 2018 I decided to do something for myself that I should've done earlier, so I put what I have learned in high school and college to the test, which is open up a small online shop with handmade items that I can make through sewing.
I dedicated around 6 months in researching platforms in which I can use to sell online, materials and supplies, learning about online e-commerce & shipping (domestic & internationally), drafted my patterns and so on. I kept every single day whenever I could in my free time to do research and learn everything, and I still do to this very day since everything changes.
Thanks to the help of friends helping me fund supplies that I was missing aswell as testing out the demand & practice my knowledge I was able to open up my Etsy Shop and from there is history!
